Triumph TR3B 1962 Description: Standard Registration in WA – not restricted 64000 miles
The Triumph TR3B was a short-lived variant produced in 1962-1963, sharing the body of the TR3A but featuring the more powerful 2138cc, 105 bhp engine and a full-4 speed synchromesh gearbox, with overdrive from the upcoming TR4. All were left hand drive for the US market. About 3000 were made.
This particular TR3B (TCF289L) was imported into Australia sometime after 1989 and converted to right hand drive. The Colorado registration papers show it was in Colorado in 1989. Another purchase receipt shows it was sold in Australia in 2001. Some of the historical documents regarding previous ownership are available plus the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate. I believe there are only 3TR3B’s in Australia and about 300 remaining worldwide.

This is a sound reliable car with over $8000 spent on it in the last year. A large parts purchase file is available along with a summary of all funds spent. There are many spare parts included in the sale plus all of the original parts since upgraded. It has good oil pressure at 60-70psi, good compression and runs well. It’s in good tune, starts instantly on full choke when cold. Plenty of torque in the 2.1l engine. O/Drive works well. Interior in very good condition. Has USB and power outlet in discrete location under dash and remote activated battery cut off dongle. Fog light and radiator fan over ride switches mounted under the dash. I am retired so available every day. Best way to contact is by SMS or email. I usually don’t answer calls from unknown numbers. Speedo and fuel gauge need work.
It is with great reluctance that I put this lovely car on the market. Personal circumstances make it necessary. I would like to sell it soon. Any reasonable offer will be accepted. I do want to sell soon.
