After I recently fitted new engine mounts to the TR3 engine vibrations through the car have increased considerably. The vibration is worse when the engine is cold and at idle and disappears as you accelerate. There are no noises from the engine, no rattles etc and the car performs very well indeed. The engine itself doesn’t appear to be vibrating any more than a normal 4 cyl TR, it is running very sweetly.
I’m thinking the mounts are a harder material or there might be a problem with them.
Has anybody fitted new engine mounts recently, the last couple of years, and noticed anything similar?
