"Left Phillip Island 20th March first night Ararat. Ararat to Murray Bridge wet and very very windy and we even had dust storms!! Just left Coffin Bay where we spent 3 nights at caravan park run by Dean and Rosie Lewis (TR3A) our favorite spot so far. Yummy Oysters and views to die for. Bob has caught Squid and whiting along the way and lots of Tommy Ruffs. Have caught up with friends in Adelaide and on Yorke Peninsular. Have taken photos of Big Koala; Big Galah; Big Cross (very appropriately on Good Friday) Big Ship (the Whyalla); Big Anchor (at Point Neil). We create quite a bit of interest wherever we go and all the over 60's are traveling well!"

Triumph Travels update 19th April 2013
When Bob was servicing car yesterday he noticed handbrake cable fraying (had thought it wasn't quite right the day before so decided to check it) Pulled it out and rang the mechanic place that Ken Bedwell put us on to ,no they didn't have one so Ken suggested a yachting rigger might be able to help, so being only 7 ks from Fremantle out with the yellow pages and off Bob went with our nephew's partner to seek out cable.
No luck so a call to Ray at RH Bare and Co at 3pm Sydney time and yes he had one and assured us it would arrive where we are staying with nephew in Perth suburb of Kardinya and so it did at 3pm Perth time today. Ray was very excited when Bob rang and said he had seen us on back cover of mag! It is now on the car and we are set to go again all for $42 what fantastic service. We head north tomorrow hoping to be joined by Ken Bedwell (in his TR also called Trevor) we are aiming for Charles Darwin Bush Heritage (formerly White Wells Station) we have friends working there.(featured on Australian Story awhile ago). Photo attached is self explanatory.Great Chilli mussells for lunch. We have enjoyed all that WA has to offer so far. Great seafood and boutique breweries and of course Margaret River Wines. Now to have meat etc and maybe even roadkill! for a few days b4 we hit the coast again.
Triumph on Tour (April-May)
Monkey Mia, Caernarvon then north of Tropic of Capricorn to Coral Bay and Exmouth.
Corals grey and brown but interesting shapes. All still travelling well!
Blue Water TR is at Coral Bay, Red Dog is at Dampier and Big Barrow in Port Hedland
Visited Yandi Gorge in Cape range National Park- saw turtles. Swam at Turquoise Bay- very hot. Too late to see Stairway to the Moon and too early for visit to the Horizontal Falls.
We were here 40 years ago in the Combi when Bob witnessed a robbery at the Bank of NSW- the robber escaped on a bicycle! At nightfall, he appeared at Roebuck pub covered in mangrove mud. He shouted the bar and then was promptly arrested!
Spotted an MG (TD?) on Victorian Plates leaving Matso's Boutique Brewery.
Saw the Big Crocodile at Wyndham. Wyndham is also the most north-western point of our journey and now heading east. The view from Bastion Point in Wyndham is quite something at sunrise (sunset meant to be best)- can see all five rivers, namely Ord, King, Pentacost, Durack and Forrest Rivers enter Cambridge Gulf.
Also saw two ships being loaded with cattle for Indonesia.
Weather for last week has been very windy in fact gale force in Cooktown our most north Easterly point its all southbound from there. Stil very humid .Lots of biting insects certainly not Paradise to us!!!
Have met a TR3A BRG in Mareeba (not a member yet) and then met Warren Trueman TR3A (restoring) in Port Douglas. He is a former Sydney sider now Brisbane. Bob was on Australia all Over last Sunday talking about the most photographed car and trailer in Australia!
Hi again, Big Shark - Torquay, Big Pineapple - Nambour, Big Cow - Yandina.
Bob and Rob are presently in Byron Bay, sampling the local delights including nibbles at Nimbin. Heading further south and expect to be in Sydney late Thursday 20th.
Note from Mal:
"Rob & Bob Adams + TRevor TR & Therese TRailer are meeting us for brunch on Friday next (21st) at 'Lilies on the Park' in the Bicentenial Park area of the Homebush Olympic Precinct. If you would like to come along, be there at 11.30. This is your chance to see the now World Famous Circumnavigatory TR / TRailer Combo".
Hi again, these photos track our progress down the coast and continuing the thread of "BIG" things.
In attendance were the President, some Committee members and club members, including Alan Stehr who is recovering from a very seriously illness, all gathered to congratulate Rob & Bob on their marvellous circumnavigation - well done!
A marathon trip is over - TR "Trevor" resting back at home as are Rob & Bob. This is the culmination of an outstanding long distance drive for both car and owners and is a wonderful tribute to the reliability of a restored TR which turns 60 next year.
