Gippsland & Victorian Ranges "TT" Page 1

March 2006
- PAGE 1    PAGE 2    PAGE 3    PAGE 4

The TouR departed from Wangaratta on Wed March 1st heading across the Great Dividing Range via Bright, Hotham Heights, Anglers Rest and Omeo to an overnight stop at Bairnsdale. From there, the TT criss-crossed the South East of Victoria leaving a track on the map like that of a drunken snail! The picture gallery attempts to highlight the journey with some random pics taken at the various locations en-route.
A great time was had by all of the participants and this was largely a tribute to the excellent professional organistion by TT leader Lesley Xerri and her chauffeur, Tony. Many thanks to both of you.

Other contenders were:
Brian & Gwen Richards ...
... Allan Wright and Renate ...
... John Pike (& newly dressed "Thud")
This is a bit out of sequence but, later in the trip Bill Newling's TR failed to proceed. After a little confusion in actually locating Bill (when found, he was sitting under a tree, drinking beer and reading the paper) we had to find a place to store his car. A quick check of the glovebox list of members revealed John McCormack in Morwell who swung into action and arranged for us to use his mate's premises. Bruce Spunner runs a carby business and allowed us to use his workshop and any of the tools & equipment to do a quick head change. Many, many thanks Bruce for your kindness and assistance and also to "Butch" who brought along his '38 Ford V8 pickup just to show us (see it on Bruce's page)

To plug Bruce's other sideline - have a look at these brilliant

And Merv is turning 21 again!
He seems to have a Birthday on most TTs. H/B to both as Marcie celebrated hers the following week.
