"It was an
Australian assembled car
which was originally part of a batch which left the factory in boxes
late in December 1955. It was assembled at the Standard Cars Australia
plant in Melbourne and was probably first registered in Australia in
late June or early July 1956. The extra number stamped on the data plate
(064TR3) would indicate that it was the 64th car assembled in Australia
(out of a total of 108)."
[John Pike - 2004]
The car is in very
good, original condition.
We know that it
has lived in Gympie QLD, Esperance WA, Sawtell NSW (Barry Tighe, from
whom we bought it) and now in Ourimbah, NSW.
