We regret to advise that Joe Richards (founder and first President of Triumph Register America TRA) and past owner and restorer of the first production Triumph TR2 roadster TS 1 LO, died on the 26 February 2020 RIP

Original Body Colour was Powder Blue, trimmed in blue leather, white hood and sidecurtains and white wall tires. The only other accessories that the factory fitted were an adjustable steering column and a hoodstick cover.

I purchased the TR3A with 63000 miles on the odometer from the original owner in 1974. A frame off body restoration was completed in 1978 following which, the car won 1st place in the TR3A class and Best of Show awards in Triumph Register of America Concours that same year.

In 1993 the car was resprayed to correct the wear and tear of an additional 67000 miles and 15 years of enjoyment.

Future plans include an engine rebuild; a new interior; and perhaps even chrome wires.

TS 1LO is in the process of a full frame up restoration. "My goal is to have it completed in 2003, the 50th anniversary of its build date".

TS 69L resoration has been put on hold for TS1. most of the sheet metal work has been completed, engine and tranny rebuilt. Needs to be reassembled and interior completed.

TS 299L This car is a total rust bucket. It will probably be a donor car for 69 and 1.
