Paul & Claire Middleton - ACT / NSW
TR3A - 1960 model

This is Middo's First TR.  He describes it thus:

"I purchased the car from Geoghan's on Parramatta Road. I can't remember their full name but they had quite a large yard specialising in performance cars and were there for quite a few years. I eventually traded it in on the Lancia Aurellia GT6 at a yard on the Pacific Highway at Pymble.

After an altercation with a guidepost on Cambewarra Mtn. we gave her an all over BRG paint job and she came up quite nicely. She was then purchased by a young bloke who later tracked me down looking for the original steering wheel because he didnt like the reflection he was getting on the windscreen from the back of my you beaut wood rim wheel.

I also remember him saying that he had fitted an overdrive from a Vanguard. That would have been somewhere around 1969.

The photo below shows the car at Wyangala Dam and the year is around 1964/65.

We have no detail on this car - if anybody has a recollection triggered by this photo - please contact Rick    rick@tr-register.com.au
