I purchased it in April 2018, from a Filipino engineer who owned the car since 2006 and he had purchased it from the family of a retired Philippine Army General who imported it from USA in about 1980.
That’s all I know about the car at this stage. Currently undergoing a partial restoration by Alfred Perez of Alfred’s Motor works in Manila, to make it an everyday driving car. It has 4 wheel disc brakes, but unfortunately has a 3A Toyota motor and 4 speed gearbox. The body work is excellent, and no accident damage is apparent anywhere. No rust in the car.
Chassis looks perfect. I am unable at this stage to find the original motor and gearbox. There is an annual 1000km Tour de Cebu Rally for sports cars pre-1970, held inOctober/November each year on the southern Islands of the Philippines, and I hope to participate in 2019. (Mick is currently living in the Philipines)
