"JAILS" JOURNEY AND TALES OF WOE.

Hi everyone our car, affectionately known as JAIL, has had a busy year. To date we have traveled nearly 18 500 klms and whilst the journey has not exactly been trouble free the car has managed to do everything we have asked of it until now.

Whilst coming into Cairns the back way over the hills the crank could take no more and let go on us, resulting in a horrific noise emanating from deep within.

I knew from the sound that it was terminal and that this would take some fixing. After a tow into Leonie's cousins house a few drinks and a nights sleep on the problem it was decided to fix the engine and continue on our journey. This decision was made easier by the fact that Leonie's cousins brother in law is an engine rebuilder here in Cairns so it's out with the old and in with the new.
