Draft Itinerary:
DAY 1
Leave Canberra at 9.00am for Bungendore (a 35 minute drive) for morning tea and possible exploration of the craft shops.
Leave Bungendore around 11.30 for Tarago (a 25 minute drive) for lunch at the Loaded Dog Pub.
Leave Tarago around 2.00pm for Sussex Inlet (a 1 hour 40 minute drive) staying at the Alonga Cottages (where some of us have stayed before). Accommodation will be in 2 bedroom cottages, priced at $140 per cottage for 2 people or $180 per night for 2 couples. Alonga can provide breakfast for $15 per head but also suggest that many of the cafes in town (about 400 metres away) will do breakfast and probably at a slightly cheaper rate. Alonga has BBQ facilities where we can do our own thing on the night of the 20th or, alternatively, the RSL Club is an easy 10 minute stroll away.

DAY 2
Depart Sussex Inlet around 9.00am heading for Milton (about a 40 minute drive) for morning tea and a stroll through the shops before proceeding on to Bateman’s Bay (a further 45 minute drive) where we will have lunch and then spend the night at the Coach House Marina Resort. We will have a free afternoon.
We will be accommodated in Queenslander Villas that have a fully self-contained kitchen and their own balcony with table and chairs. The cost is $129 per villa and they can provide breakfast at $15 per person for continental or $22 per person for full breakfast.
The Catalina Country Club is directly across the road from the Coach House and JJ’s café/bar is an easy 10 minute stroll away on the edge of the inlet of the Clyde River. This area also has a pop-up oyster and prawn bar which serves high quality oysters and prawns at a very reasonable price. The Coachhouse also has its own BBQ facilities if we want to use them.

DAY 3
Leaving Bateman’s Bay around 9.00am heading for Tilba (a 1 hour 15 minute drive) where we can have morning tea and stroll through the town centre visiting the many craft shops and/or the cheese factory, heading off to Merimbula around 11.15pm (a 1 hour drive). We have a free afternoon.
Accommodation in Merimbula is at the Pelican Motor Inn where they will provide rooms at $130 per night. They have their own BBQ facilities and can provide a catered BBQ in their marquee on the night of the 22nd for between $22 – 25 per person which includes steak, sausages, salads and sweets. I suggest that we do this as the final night dinner.

DAY 4
Head back to Canberra (about a 3 hour drive) via Cooma.
The itinerary is flexible and some may choose to meet up at the Alonga Cottages rather than leave from Canberra on the 20th and also head back home from Merimbula and not through Cooma on the 23rd.
If you are interested in coming along I will need confirmation by COB Friday 9th February 2018 as rooms are only being held for a limited time.
I will provide details of BSB and bank accounts for each location when I know who is attending and you can make payments for your accommodation directly to the motels.
Numbers will be capped at 15 couples so it will be filled on a first in best dressed basis. As this has been advertised on the FORUM for some time, I already have 10 cars on the list.
I will provide more details once firm numbers are known.
