The Birth Certificate indicates:

This TR3 was manufactured circa Tuesday 6th November 1956 as a CKD (Completely Knocked Down) vehicle. It was despatched from the factory in Kit form for final assembly at destination (in this case Durban South Africa).
The car has a South African plate showing a local assembly number TR427.
The car is currently located in Hobart Tasmania.

This 1956 TR3 was built by Motor Assemblies Ltd. Durban, South Africa. Purchased in Hobart by Peter Cousins in February 1966. Used competitively at Baskerville in the late 1960s. It underwent a 3 year body off restoration completed in June 2006. Bare metal body was refinished in 2 pack, new bumper and over riders fitted, seats trimmed in leather and carpet renewed. An overdrive unit was also fitted. Engine was rebuilt. A proven performer the car subsequently completed trouble free trips to Port Macquarie NSW in 2007 and to Toowoomba QLD in 2010. It has had very little use in the past 5 years and has always been garaged.
